typing your password, the following screen would be displayed
c. After clicking “next”, select the following options.
d. Next, install the Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone. Once app
has been downloaded, go into the app and scan the QR code with the steps below
e. To scan the QR code from the app, follow the following
steps: f. This may take a few seconds and once it’s finished, the
message will change to show that MFA has been configured.
g. Click Next, and Office 365 will check that everything is
working. Enter the application and click approve.
h. After you’ve verified that MFA is working, you’ll be asked
for a phone number in case you lose access to the app.
This phone number will be used as backup to use SMS or voice
calls in the event that you can’t use the Microsoft Authenticator app. Once you’ve
entered a number, click “Next” to see the final screen. Please save this password for future usage!
First Login With MFA
When logging into 365 in the future, after typing in
password, screen should display this:
A. If connected to internet, you should receive this notification.
B. Click approve once in the app to sign in.
i. If no internet, you may follow these steps to login. After
typing in your password, the screen below will be displayed. Click onto the
“Sign in another way” to login.
ii. To login, you may click onto the first option.
iii. After
you click onto the first option, you will be brought to this page.
iv. Go
into the Microsoft Authenticator app and you will get a 6 digit code
which you will then type in.
Alternatively, you may also click onto the other options.
To login to outlook application on desktop, use the password
that was given during the process of setting up the mfa (setup 4)
